The Universal Wireless Backbone System, short UWBS, defines a centralized and modular aircraft interface for different wireless systems. The approach of the UWBS is to provide multiple wireless communication channels in the cabin and simultaneously reducing the installation, integration and coordination effort compared with multiple stand-alone wireless systems.
